Following last year’s highly anticipated and much-talked-about debut, Gastown Classics returns to L’Abattoir, this time, bigger and bolder. Hosted by Bar Manager, Alexa Gervais and her team, we are expanding the celebration to take over both the bar and the dining room for one night only.

We are reuniting a legendary lineup of Gastown alumni—the very talent who built their reputations in this neighbourhood before taking their craft across the city and beyond. Joining guest bartenders Robyn Gray, Adam Domet, Ron Oliver, Emmet Groves, Satoshi Yonemori, Amanda MacMullin, and Conner Joseph, we are thrilled to welcome H, who joins us from XXX in Toronto.

Supported by Fords Gin, Herradura Tequila, Diplomatico Rum and Maison Perrier, these industry icons will be showcased throughout the room, allowing guests to engage with each of them and experience their creativity firsthand. The stakes are high at Brix & Mortar as five of Yaletown’s cocktail masters go head-to-head in a live battle for neighborhood bragging rights. This high-energy evening of liquid artistry kicks off with dynamic live performances by Karla Sax and Georgy Manterola, setting the stage for a showcase of talent from Per Se Social Corner, West Oak, The Greek, Brix & Mortar, and Homer Street Cafe. Witness the neighbourhood’s elite bartenders as they strive to impress both a panel of industry experts and the toughest critics in the room: you.

Your experience begins with a welcome cocktail and an official tasting card. Throughout the night, explore five dedicated bars to enjoy the featured competition cocktails at your own pace. Each station showcases a unique creation featuring premium spirits including Botanist Gin, Bruichladdich, Cointreau, Metaxa, Mount Gay, St-Rémy, and Teremana. Between rounds of passed canapés, you’ll watch the drama unfold live as each bartender has just ten minutes to present their story and technique to the judges.

The final result is in your hands. Your “People’s Choice” scores are integrated into the official tally to determine the winner. Sip, socialize, and stay for the final announcement to see which Yaletown bartender claims the trophy.


Beyond the Bottle: Minami x TS Global Japanese Spirits Dinner

Upon arrival, ease into the afternoon with a Flor de Caña welcome cocktail.
