“Espresso” Martini

The “Espresso” Martini at Blackbird is actually made with house-made cold brew concentrate.

• 60ml Absolut vodka
• 30ml Kahlua
• 45ml Cold Brew concentrate* (espresso from home machine easy substitute)
• 3 dash Fee Brothers Black Walnut bitters
• 15ml simple syrup

Shake and strain into martini glass or cocktail coupe. Garnish with 3 coffee or espresso beans.

*COLD BREW CONCENTRATE:

Cold Brew Coffee
• 500g fine ground coffee
• 1.5L cold filtered water

Place coffee in cambro bin. Slowly pour 500ml water over coffee grinds trying to get all grinds wet. Gently use barspoon to push dry grinds down to ensure all are wet. Gently pour 500ml water over grinds. Gently use barspoon to push dry grinds down to ensure all are wet. Let sit for 24 hours.

Without disturbing coffee bed, gently strain off liquid. Label, date and store for up to 2 weeks. Dilute before drinking like cold brew—do not dilute for cocktail applications.
