VCW24 kicks off with the fourth annual Signature Sunday Cocktail Brunch at Botanist and features dozens of seminars, tastings, master classes, dinners, parties and drag shows, the (unticketed) Cinq à Sept series of elevated happy hours and all the other events attendees know and love, along with more international bar stars and brand sponsors than ever before.
This year, VCW is introducing guest shifts and pop-ups featuring some of the world’s greatest bartenders—from establishments like Singapore’s Cat Bite Club, Madrid’s Salmon Guru and Florería Atlántico in Buenos Aires—as well as neighbourhood cocktail crawls that offer a taste of what the city’s most exciting bartenders are shaking up.
But if there is one event not to miss, it’s the closing night Green Garden Gala on March 10. The signature event of Vancouver Cocktail Week will transform the Sutton Place Hotel ballroom into a botanical bower with live music, a DJ, fine food, more than 35 premium brand sponsors and, of course, more cocktail creativity than you could fit into a bootlegger’s bathtub.
